When you say use the Google China map which one are you talking about? I tried to download the google Arial map but it said that this feature is only avaliable with the full version. Or can you even do that with the free lite version?

It looks like I need to get the full version to be able to draw in the areas. I think I can splurge and spend 9.99 on this.

It looks like I need to get the full version to be able to draw in the areas. I think I can splurge and spend 9.99 on this. its worth 10 times more than 10 dollars.Yes use the google china. You cannot download an offline map under regular google.the china sattelite is a loophole that will allow you to download an entire map area and all the tiles. Scoutlook sucked because when google stopped allowing people to download there maps with third party software they kept it on the down low to still sell the POS app.so if you dont have a good signal in the woods you wont know where the F&*K your at.I emailed and complained to trimble and they kept making excuses on why the dwnload feature didnt work than i found out the truth.I found alpine quest and havnt even bothered using any other mapping software. Alpine quest gives you the option of a shucks ton of maps including the bing map. That map will be very helpful finding old logging roads and trails you never knew was there.
