This Aldeer holy roller crap gets old real quick. There is nothing "Holy" about giving someone grief over a DUI. If your past puberty and doing stupid schit like drinking and driving you need your damn skull caved in and I have no use for you. A person having a social drink over dinner is natural. Knowing you have to drive home later and then continuing to slam the drinks with our regard to others is selfish. Schit like the below happens every day http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/nyc-...ticle-1.2290166
If you’re a common sense person, you probably don’t feel you have a home in this world right now. If you’re a Christian, you know you were never meant to.

You don't have to be a Christian or a Jew or anything else to stand up and be a man.
Oh, you are standing. JK Maybe I am... Maybe I'm not.... Regardless... I'm gonna use all the legal tools to my advantage to lessen the consequences.... It has nothing to do with principles.... It's using what the law allows you to use..... Otherwise lawyers wouldn't have a job.....

But just because the law allows it, doesn't make it right. Abortion is legal too. I can agree with this.....

Keep in mind that while the lawyers are coming up with new ways to "beat" a charge all the time, LE officers are working hard to close those loopholes. Unless you are dealing with a really dumb officer, often the best a lawyer can do is lessen the consequences, which in itself is often worth the money. That is why I usually recommend a good local attorney who appears in that court often as the best bet. A hot shot out of town lawyer in a small time court will often leave the defendant disappointed in the outcome and leaves them pinning all their hope on an appeal (more $$$).
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

The OP is in this position for a reason. And it is not because he is too smart. I think you are giving him (or perhaps yourself) too much credit.
So your basicly saying = everyone that gets caught drinking and driving deserves punishment?? You are quite slow tonight. You been drinking? Yes, that is exactly what I've been saying. Have I done it before? Yes. Did I deserve punishment? Your damn right I did.

When i was in college, I drank 9 Bud Lights one night and got pulled over on the way home. The trooper got in front of me on the Interstate, and slowed to 45, and I wouldn't pass him, so he got me. I blew a .023. I don't know how I only blew a .023, but I took that as my free pass. I can only think of 2 times since that night I have driven anywhere if I've had more than 6 in 8 hours, and I got pulled over again in one of those instances for a blown headlight. Hell, if I run out of beer on a Saturday watching football, I walk to the gas station 2 miles from my house with a backpack.

Everyone here knows I'm a cop and I work a whole pile of DUIs. I actually used to work basically only DUIs. There ain't anything wrong with a guy wanting a good lawyer. I don't mind a bit when my folks get good ones. I've never lost a DUI case, but I also don't make BS DUI cases. Some cops have a severe lack of training in DUI and can make some less than par cases. Officers are also human and can make a mistake. So there's not a dang thing wrong with someone makin sure they get fair treatment.
Obviously I strongly disagree with driving drunk, and if Atoler was drunk then I think he should have to accept his punishment. And some DUI lawyers simple Only look for a small technicality to hang the officer up on and they know their client was drunk and they just hope to win on a technicality, which there are tons of when it comes to DUIs.
There's a lot to go in to though. Why was he stopped? Did the officer administer SFST, and if so did he do it properly? Was Implied consent read? What was his answer? Was he stager testing administered and if so was it administered properly? Most folks don't even realize half of what goes in to a DUI. I ain't trying to start a fuss with anyone, but I also don't think Austin is wrong by asking for a good DUI lawyer. I'm actually good friends with most lawyers I go against in court. It ain't uncommon for me to eat lunch with one then go duke it out with him in court. We just keep it professional.

We have all done things that we aren't proud of. We don't usually advertise those things whether it's actually wrong doing or just something that's a little embarrassing. But when we are caught, (and we really did what we are accused of) there is no need to deny it. It's part of the honesty that we try to instill in our children's character. We teach them to not lie, to love baby Jesus, don't eat boogers, and to pick up their toys. Hopefully when they learn those things, they will carry them throughout their life. If we fall away from total honesty as adults, it makes it harder for us to teach it to our kids and for it to stick. They WILL learn from the example we set, good or bad. We have to be able to look ourselves in the mirror, but we also have to be ably to look into a five year old's eyes and tell them to always be honest. We will all fail at that at sometime or another, but we can't blatantly defy it without repercussions of some sort. That could be in the form of someone not trusting us for example.
