Guess I'll start it off. Went in blind to cahaba wma. Sitting in a hardwood bottom between two ridges with a bunch of funnels coming together that lead to a food plot on a powerline. Some acorns dropping around me. Squirrels every where. Looking for my first bow kill.

Just pulled my bow up. Same spot as yesterday. These yellow jackets won't stop.

About to head back into where I sat this morning and didn't see anything . Pulled the card there and one of our shooters (older deer but been a 4 point the past 3 years) has been showing up right before dark a couple times this week with a new game-time-decision-shooter-or-not 3 year old buck. Need to put the card back in anyway, so may as well give it another shot and try to let the air out of him.

Finally getting in a tree. First time I've ever missed opening day. Nothing so far but still have plenty time before dark.

1st sit of year. Got Add about 60 yards away in a 100%'er tree of mine. Maybe he'll get a shot...

The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

I'm set up in a hardwood bottom (white oaks) on a piece of property we recently bought in southern Cullman County. This will be our first ever hunt here, so I'm excited! I saw a doe and a fawn on our foodplot at 2:45 as I was walking in.

Good luck, everybody!

I fully intended on taking today off until my 5 year old boy begged me to go. We're in GA and I have him beside me in a 2 man ladder stand. It's his first time in a tree and he's going great! We're both harnessed in and ready to go. He wouldn't let me bring the rifle, so we have the stick and string. Deer or no deer, this will be fun!!

Hunting Black Warrior Management Area this afternoon. Set up in some white oaks on the edge of 6 year old cutover/thicket. Had to run a heard of pigs off just to get to my tree. Got within 12 yards of them. If it wasn't for these fresh rubs you would think its all hogs, but I know better. Good luck everyone.

At cahaba on the ground where a powerline crosses a hardwood creek bottom. Saw nothing here at this spot saturday morning so figured I would give the evening a chance.
