Back out now!! Be quiet, and return in the am.

Worst thing you can do, if you have any chance of finding him, is pushing him!!

Saw another die right at dark. She didn't present a shot. Walking a mile with a climber on public land blows.

She was quartering away and this was the exit hole. I didn't get a complete pass thru, so she broke my arrow. She made it about 60 yds from where I shot her

Just shot him. He came in and I watched him so long I had done calmed down. Everything was perfect. I was patient, he was about to turn broadside, I turned and he stopped. I held it for about 30 sec and then he turned. I settled and let it fly. Then I see it deflect and head a loud thwack. I hit a limb and squares his shoulder up. I've got blood but I don't know if he's dead or not.

I've worked my butt off trying to figure this deer out. I've ate slept and breathed this deer for 2 months. I waited until the time was right, played the wind, and went in and the lord blessed me with a chance. It looks like I blew it. That deer deserves better than that. It was a beautiful hunt and I hope I didn't wound him. If I did I probably won't talk for a few days. Yall wish me luck.

He fell three times running off. I hope it's not just a bad injury that's not fatal.

Don't get down on yourself. It sounds like you hurt him pretty good if you could see him fall three times. Any idea how much the arrow penetrated?

Back out and look in the am. Although the whack sound isn't good, hopefully it was the sound of the opposite shoulder.

I feel you got him and he will die, but a sleepless night may be in order until you go look in the morning.

God Bless,
David B.

I got blood and hair about four inches on the shaft. The broadhead broke off in him. I didn't hear him get up after the third crash but I guess he could of just stayed down and decided to rest.
