Scratch that. Propane at the house ran out and for some reason my wife wants it refilled...I'll get out there one day...

Hopefully I'll get back before its too late to head out in the stand.

Well I didn't see anything this morning. Climbed down at 0915, then went to the gym and got an hours worth of cardio in, then got cleaned up and took my wife on a lunch date thumbup grin and am now back in the tree again for the afternoon hunt. Woods are quiet right now, but I figure deer may get on their feet in another hour or so.

One thing I noticed this morning as soon as I stepped out was how bright the moon was. No doubt the deer were on their feet all night. So this evening before dark should = deer movement. Tomorrow ought to be good too, with the front moving in.

Good luck to everyone hunting this afternoon!

Earliest I've been in stand yet.

Deer have been feeding all afternoon as I've seen them up under acorn trees as I've been driving around.

Makes me think it will be late before they are out again.

Congrats TooTall!!

God Bless,
David B.

Been up since 1:30. Had a small rack deer feeding about 100 yards immediately. Also jumped some deer walking in. I'm on a HUGE acorn flat, feel naked with just a bow. Feels like I need a Huskemaw scope! There's poop all under me within bow range, I think I'm playing to the topography right.

Never found the doe last night(sorry CNC, 'twas in Bibb). Followed blood for about 1.5 hours last night and nothing more today. Figure the yotes pushed her all night. Back at it for redemption. Sitting on a white oak hill surrounded by thick cutovers. Ready to let the first willing deer die.

Started looking for the doe i shot this morning at about 9 and lost blood. CNC hooked me up with a contact for a tracking dog
Guy named Brent brought his dog out and we finally called off the search at about 430. Cant say i didmt try my best to make a recovery. First deer ive ever lost with a bow, but i knew it was bound to happen at some point. Sucks.... alot
