Most all the talk I see on here is college football. I guess that's understandable with the teams we have in this state. I tend to like watching high school games a little more than college and I don't watch any NFL games. With that said, any of you Cullman folks heading down to Clay-Chalkville Friday night? Lord willing, I'll be there hoping to see our Cougars win another one.

I'll be in gardendale watching my Tigers.

The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

I love all football, but high school is my favorite. I am looking forward to seeing teams from around here play. DAR has a chance to turn some heads, they have a pretty good team this year.

Wish I was gonna be here watching Opelika put a whooping on Daphne but I've got to go to the hunting camp for the weekend.

Our game between Clay-Chalkville and Cullman has been moved to Thursday evening due to expected inclement weather on Friday.

Spanish Fort is bad to the bone, wouldn't be surprised if they didn't win it all.

Little biased to the south Alabama schools, but SF is very strong. They handled Saraland easily. Game with Blount went down to the wire with a FR kicking a FG as time expired to win.

Only time will tell. Should shape up to be a battle of brother against brother. I hope to see the mighty toros because that means your still playing and one step closer.

Hate I'm not gonna be able to make the trip down to Spanish Fort with my Panthers. They're gonna have a mountain to climb to beat the Toros.

Panther defense is pretty good but plagued with injuries. The starting MLB from the beginning of the year is now starting at Center & Defensive end if that tells you anything.

Offense still has no identity. They beat Valley 40-7 by going back to smash mouth football then turn around & go back to running more read option type plays.

They ran it down Oak Mountains(7A)throat last week early in the game, but got to the red zone & tried to throw & got picked. Then left 3 more points on the field by going for a 4th down that was an easy field goal. On the last drive they got cute again for instead of smashing it & lost by 6. It was like watching Auburn as far as play calling goes. Kinda makes you scratch your head.

Maybe they'll give SF a game, but that 4 hour ride is ridiculous.

Clay-Chalkville has a high powered offense, but defense will hurt them somewhere along the way. So far, any team they have met with a decent offense, it becomes a scorefest. Hillcrest of Tuscaloosa should have beat them earlier in the year, especially when the CCHS quarterback was ejected from the game early in the third quarter.

The left guard for spainish fort used to live down the road from us and went to my kids school,he's committed to southern miss right now,he's a big ol boy,if he would have stayed at our school we would have 4 kids that are playing college ball next year on the O-line,pretty good for a small private school

Yes that is a very good O-line. My tenth grade son got a pretty good education playing them to open the season. It helped him a lot down the road. He liked them too, said there was nothing dirty about them, just good.

Does this move the line in the Spanish Fort game, or is he just a reserve?

SF's biggest weapon is their QB. He has never lost a game as a starter.
