I've got a bunch of browning strike force cameras and haven't had a single problem at all. Best cams on the market. They had a few problems with the very first models but the new revised versions are much much better. No problems at all.

The Browning Strike Force is the one that only lasted a year. And it was the replacement camera that was given to me after the first Browning died. I drove all the way to 280 to pick it up at their distribution office. I have a cheaper Browning BTC-3 that is on its third year of use so Browning has been a mixed bag.

Covert Cameras Code Black 2g and 3G. I love the text photos. Unfortunately, the new 3G don't have remote commands yet.

I have the old style Moultrie A5 and the M880i. Both have done fine for me. Every now and then I will get a video that is black.

So most haven't run the cameras for more than a year. Maybe 2-3 of you?

Is there a camera that will last longer than a year. We use ours 9-10 months a year. They have lasted 1-2-3 years with me fixing them, lol. Some can not be fixed.

Since current customer service of Moultrie is non existent, in my opinion, I'm looking for other options.

God Bless,

I do not like moultrie cams. Slow trigger speeds and blurry pics. I set a moultrie m880 and a browning strike force together facing the same way and at the same height. The browning had 200 pics of DEER and the moultrie had 150 pics of deer, hind ends, and a whole lot of nothing. And most pics were blurry. I know the Brownings are higher, but you get what you pay for. The way I look at it is, why would I go tromping through the woods, leaving my scent all over the place, walk 2 miles through the mountain to a remote place, trying to capture a buck of a lifetime, and then use a camera that won't give me a high quality picture? If I do all that, I want to know that's pictures are good

Apparently Reconyx will go and go and go. See my post above
. I just can't come off the hip for they much. If they really lasted 10 years or so maybe I could do it.

I thought you had covert? Or maybe I had it confused. Either way my covert takes WAY too many pictures of the wind and sun.

I've got several Covert cameras, as well. The Reconyx beats the Coverts hands down on triggering, though. I'll probably just buy Reconyx from here on out.

Yeah, I don't like flipping through 2,000 pictures to see 2 deer pics!

I'm down to 13 cameras now. Got 9 out. I've used them all I think.

I learned a long time ago that you can spend what you want and the outcome will be the same the majority of the time. If u use them like I do you'll get 2-3 years on average. Some more, a few less.

I buy old models on clearance. The cheaper the better.

I use mainly Moultrie cameras. I've tried them all. For the money, they hard to beat. I wouldn't buy a new model at full price though.

Although I don't have the experience to back it up, I think this is sound advice.

None of them. From cheap to expensive, it's a crap shoot which ones will last. The more expensive ones will take better pictures and have better shutter speeds and triggers etc... But which one will last the longest is something that I have yet to see out of any maker out there. I have had expensive and cheap. I've had cheap ones last a loooong time and expensive ones crap out on me.

Keep the receipt and hope for the best.

Trail cameras are one of my biggest complaints in the hunting equipment world. Hunters are willing to accept a product that typically only lasts on average a few years at best!

I really don't know why it's so hard to make a trail camera that works consistently and lasts!!! I think it's because most hunters treat them as disposable. But I don't have $100+ just to throw away every year on a camera!

Thanks for all the feedback, guys. I usually check the reviews on Amazon before I make a purchase even if it they will not be the point of purchase. Concerning $200 and under cameras, the Browning Strike Force and Stealth cam 42NG appear to have the highest ratings.

I've got 4 browning cameras and never once had problems with them. Also have two stealth cameras and two moultrie cameras that are 5-6 years old. The browning cameras seems to catch more pics of the whole deer. I had 1200 pics after two weeks and probably 85% of them were all deer and turkey pics.

When I decided to buy some they had went back up, so I didnt buy any. I was very disapointed that I waited to long, but planned on buying several if they ever went back down again, What didnt you like about it.

I had a bushnell 6mp that took great pictures, with quick trigger spead, but only lasted 4 months. Luckily I bought the 2 year warranty from walmart and got my money back. So now I usually buy whatevers cheap at walmart and put two year warranty on it.
