Looks like Edgewood won there 151st straight state championship yesterday. They will likely do the same in baseball.

Told yall to watch austin high school They must have a pretty good team. We (Clay-Chalkville) have to travel up there this coming Friday night. Could be the end of the road for the Cougars if their defense doesn't step up. And even though we beat Minor the other night, the offense just didn't seem as explosive as they have been. Since I plan to drive up for the game, I sure hope it's a good one.

It's refreshing to hear a band parent have passion for the game as well as for the half time show. ![thumbup thumbup](/forum/images/graemlins/default/grinning-smiley-003.gif) A lot of today's band parents think the football game is played just so the band can be heard.

I've always liked high school football. Played a little, but liked playing baseball better. Even though my daughter will graduate this year, I still plan on going to games in the future, if not Clay-Chalkville, I plan to attend Mortimer Jordan games (my alma mater), and even some other games that I just might find interesting. I've really enjoyed my daughter being in the band and I like following the band; but the game is what it's all about.

I'm not sure I'd call Opelika an upset. SF is loaded and their qb has never lost a game. ( I think) he hasnt lost a game as the starting qb he is 33-0
