There are a lot of coaches that struggle without a dominant quarterback: Gus Malzahn is 6-6 without one, Kevin Sumlin, Jimbo Fisher, etc... When each of those had a world beater at QB everyone thought they were football geniuses, not so much now. Kind of makes you wonder if Mike Shula had gotten Tim Tebow...

A great quarterback can make an average coach look like a world beater. Then you have coaches that can take just about anyone that doesn't make a bunch of stupid mistakes, plug them in there and win championships. Reference Alabama last year using a running back as a quarterback, or this year using a perennial 2nd stringer as a starter.

I actually think Miles is almost there. If he has just a decent quarterback and a another great running back he can win another championship. He just needs a piece or two of the puzzle and he's got it. He knows how to build a solid team year after year, something a lot of other coaches can't seem to do.
