Its some sort of a TOMCAT. Small but climbs well.

it's a "trap" if you ask me. I think I gasped a little when I saw the pic. Scared the crap out of me.

Got a buddy who loved bowhunting out of a tomcat

I'm about 165 but would feel safer in a Ford Pinto. I am still not sure where the seat is. Is it the piece of wood?

so you sit on the wood, facing the tree, to climb, but then the wood serves as a platform to stand on and you sit on the sit above it........
my question is, 20ft up a tree, how do you transition from the climbing position sitting on the wooden platform, to the hunting position sitting on the seat above the platform?

It has a piece of plywood that appears to act as your seat when climbing, and your floor when hunting. The seat looks like some kind of canvas that slides out from the tree.
I may pull the old joker out - replace that wood - give it a little TLC...then take it to the woods and see if I can't get myself kilt. Let us know so we can come and identify the body.

Thread has me seriously thinking about a new Summit since I'm fast approaching the 250lb weight limit of the tomcat (and surely over it with camo, boots, gear, and rifle). I just always liked to face the tree because of what I said in my previous post...turning around. Idk if I could do that in any climber. What do you sit on when you face the tree?
