We had a pump and the recoil was to much for him. Had narrowed it down between the franchi and the benilli. Just wasn't sure if the m2 was work the extra $400
I am sure the Benelli is worth the extra money, but I would see if you could find one to shoot before you buy. You may not save much in the recoil department with either the Benelli or the Franchi, because I believe they are both inertia-driven guns.
