I know this has been discussed, but I'm too lazy to search. Looking for the best pair around $500 or less. What's yalls opinions?

I have just recently been sold on the Vortex line of glass. I just caught a pair of the Vortex Diamondback 10x42 on camofire for $150 the other day. Their warranty was a big selling point on their products.

Vortex.
Do you want compact ones for treestand hunting, large ones for shooting house and low light, or just some to have on the truck?

You can get some Meopta Meopro HD's for just over $500 I think. Those things are fine

I have the 8x42 Meopro HDs. Very clear and bright. If you are serious about getting them for $500 you ought to jump. Please share this location too!

I don't really care for the smaller ones. I'd really like to have a set that kinda covers the whole spectrum. But mainly lowlight hunting conditions. My Leupolds have crapped out on me.

I just bought the vortex diamondback 10x42. I am very impressed. If they were clearer, I don't think I could notice it.

$500 will buy you a heckuva set of binos, regardless of which brand you go with. Does Vortex make "Viper" binos?

^^^Those Meopta's that someone mentioned above would be outstanding!

I'd call Leupold customer service before I spent any money if you haven't already. They're good folks

Cabelas has several good brands a good sale prices. At least I think so. Bought my son a set of 10x42 Vortex for $142. Reg $220 I believe. Don't remember the model but they were clear
