Whoever shot the dog was in the wrong.
Also by letting the dog get on another mans property you were in the wrong as well. I suspect you don't have any issue with letting the dog get on your neighbor's land and it just "sucks for him". I base this on every conversation we've ever discussed on this website about this subject.
Hate your dog got shot. Yep
If you’re a common sense person, you probably don’t feel you have a home in this world right now. If you’re a Christian, you know you were never meant to.

I myself could careless if dog hunting was outlawed, I have seen and killed many more deer while still hunting, however I would never shoot anyone's dog and trust me I have been disturbed multiple times by dogs from other clubs. I like many others pay my money to hunt the way I want to and choose to be in clubs that do not allow dog hunting. Many people I know shoot other folks dogs but that's their business, I know one guy whose property joins my personal land that shoots every dog he see's on his property along with putting out poison, he is a sorry SOB in my op. Sorry to hear your dog loss, I know a guy who hunts basset hounds simply because they don't run very far and are easy to catch, might wanna give them a try.
If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

Hate to hear that, I wouldn't have the heart to shoot anyone's hunting dog. I will say that I can certainly understand the people dropping them 30 miles away, although I would come have a conversation with you the first time. I could understand if they could have a conversation with me first about it. But we got a idea who is doing that and the game warden knows about if we could ever catch them hauling them out our problem will be sloved trust me So, you don't take any responsibility for those guys having to deal with your dogs on their land? I wouldn't shoot them, but I would only warn you once, then after that I would start hauling them to a pound three counties over. You said yall have plenty of land, so hunt a smaller inner area of it, where you can still grab them if they get by the stander. It sounds to me, like you let your dogs get on other people's property a lot

the bottom line is people that don't dog hunt do not want dogs on their property running deer, period. and until dog hunters Learn a way to keep this from happening they're going to continue to have problems. it has nothing to do with hating dogs or hating dog hunters. ^^^ THIS is the truth.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

At least they didn't try to enter the dog into a deer contest. Have mercy!

Hate that your dog got shot and not to add insult to injury, but if your dogs get off your land and on to another persons land. Then your club is part of the problem not part of the solution. Until y'all figure out there are tools available , I imagine y'all spend a good part of hunting season hunting dogs.
take your kids hunting and you won't be hunting your kids

If I remember right it's a hefty fine and dang near a felony to shoot a dog.

I grew up dog hunting so you don't have to convince me about the love of a dog hunt. but the bottom line is people that don't dog hunt do not want dogs on their property running deer, period. and until dog hunters Learn a way to keep this from happening they're going to continue to have problems. it has nothing to do with hating dogs or hating dog hunters. This man gets it.

I will say this during deer season I only hunt public land for squirrels and if someone shoots my dog I'll either be shot or going to prison.

I will say this during deer season I only hunt public land for squirrels and if someone shoots my dog I'll either be shot or going to prison. on public land, you have every right to be there in season. He wasn't, and that's the difference. Most of my hunting is public land too. If someone don't like it they can pound sand but how can I get mad at someone for getting mad at me for letting my dogs get on their land and mess them up.

There is a huge scenario difference there.

I have had many a skwerl dogs ruin a good deer hunt on lowndes. They just haven't caught me on a bad enough day
There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??
