The bullet doesn't go bang, the primer does. Not sure why you had that problem, but because it didn't fire doesn't mean the bullet is not a worthy bullet. I use Hornady SST's, so i'm not pushing core-locs, i'm just sayin all modern bullets perform pretty well, when well placed. There's just too much design and engineering and testing for bullets not to work well. But then again, there could be a lemon, just like with a car. I also shoot SST's, and I am speaking to the quality of the whole cartridge as bought from the factory. Sure the bullet is fine.
