Check out the reviews of ATs on Consumer Reports. They are usually spot on.

Bfg ain't what they once were. My old tahoe eats tires cause its so heavy and also has about 1k lbs of tools in the back. It chewed up some used but nice Bfg ats in no time. My Cooper at3s have about 15k on them and wearing beautifully. I think the tires will outlive the truck by far!

I've been running them on my truck past few years. They seem to do very well as an all purpose tire. I do keep them balanced and rotated on a regular basis. I am pushing 60k on them and plan to get more when the time comes. Do your research and make the decision on what to get, however, I don't think you will disappointed. Good luck!

I ran BFG KO's for 30 years and loved them, I wouldn't put another set on my truck if they were free. The last 4 sets that I put on I got less than 40k miles I try to talk people out of buying them even though I sell them.
The best A/T tires right now are Nitto and Toyo. Either will give you 10-20k more miles than the BFG made today old style or the KO2's
Nitto are quieter and a little less aggressive Toyo are a little more (not much) aggressive just a little louder and will last a little longer

Ran the BFGS for 2 sets of tires and the last set dry rotted with 30k miles on them, they wouldn't replace them. And before you ask it was a truck I drove every day. I then got the toyo extreme 2s and loved them and they have a very good warranty. IF you don't like them in the first 500 miles you can send them back as well.

For heavens sakes don't buy anything over $125 a tire or you'll catch hell from the know it alls. I have the new style bfg on my truck now. They're fine. Very quiet and did well on a week long hunt I just got back from in the Mississippi delta where it's damn muddy. X2 Put a set of the BFG KO2's on 2 weeks ago and so far the 1200 miles I've driven with them I've been extremely impressed. I've ran the last 200,000 + miles on michelins, so I'm pretty biased but these new BFG ko2's are nice

Cooper AT3s here since October and really like the soft ride and no highway noise
