NY Strip is my favorite between the two. Love the deep rich flavor of a strip steak.
To me, bone in steaks are superior. Who doesn't love a great marbled bone in cowboy cut ribeye? Hard to beat. High grade thick Tbone is the best of all...strip on one side and filet on the other.

correct porter house is the king. Iam starting to like ny strip better than ribeye. it has more meat and less fat. And why is fat a bad thing? When I grill ribeyes I look for the most marbled ones I can find and then when I eat mine, I always try to get a nice little chunk of fat with the leaner pieces in every bite. The fat on a good ribeye is like butter. It's what makes the steak! The only steak I don't like any fat on is the Fillet and then I cook it in butter in the cast iron skillet to give it some fat and then I drizzle the pan drippings all over the steak.
