I still say that deer breed at a date that will coincide with the most ideal time for insuring good fawn survival. They have evolved over time to breed at these dates because of some outside environmental influence. We may or may not understand what the influence may be yet. Skinny asked what would BSK say?…..Unless he has changed his position on the issue, I’m pretty much quoting him.
