It's amazing how many folks would try to defend cheap stuff by comparing their cheapness to a successful value of the past, when folks understood quality. VX-1 is a good value. There are others that can be, so long as they use decent glass, good parts, good assembly, good QC, and good warranty. You can't start out with a sow's ear and make a silk purse, no matter how many would try to sell you on one.
