Don't avoid the Savage because it doesn't have the Accutrigger. I shouldn't have even mentioned the Accutrigger in this post. It is still a good rifle with or without the Accutrigger. I have a savage .243,with the Accutrigger and it is sweet to shoot but the regular trigger is fine if you have your heart set on 22-250. My package has the Simmons scope and it is ok. Holds a zero but of course I'd rather top it with a Leupold or a Zeiss. The browning is definitely a better rifle but the Savage is still very good. The 22-250 advocates are right too. You have a tough decision to make. I would also suggest you look at the condition of both rifles before deciding.

The gun I got was a savage 110 with a Simmons atv scope. It looks like a sweet scope to be a Simmons. May not even change scopes this year.

You can do a trigger job on the axis and have better trigger than accutrigger , go to u tube , fairly simple ,the axis is a great gun for the money

It has a smoother action than my 700 or the abolt I use to have.

No 110 and axis are different rifles. The 110 you have is probably a little older gun with no accutrigger. The triggers are fine on those rifles and can be slicked up pretty easily. Just google.

You can swap the trigger for an aftermarket (timney etc.) For about $100 if you want.

Another thing, the 110 is a long action rifle. Meaning you could buy another barrel and change it to just about any caliber you want at home with a barrel vise, wrench, and some go/no go gauges. Once you do it a few times it can be done in under 30 minutes easily

22-250 has the same case head size as .308 .270 etc. Tons of used or new take off .270, 30/06 barrels on ebay for dirt cheap. You could have a 110 with several differnt barrels and stocks to cover anything you wanted to do.

For a stock, check out Mike's Stocks. He has some fine looking rifle stocks and does top notch work. His are hand made not mass produced like others.
