Selling a gun. Gonna have about 650 bucks. Wanting small cal hunting rifle. Found a .223 abolt with bushnell glass. Abolt is 95%. $650 for it. Or a savage 22-250 with a Simmons scope for 350 and take the extra 300 and buy a better glass?

What's the range on the 22-250 Mine. 2 inches high at 100 puts it 3 inches low at 325. You can get 55 grain soft points for $20 a box at most stores. And it will punch a sure enough hole in a deer

Love the browning rifles but I prefer the 22-250. It will kill the heck out of anything.

it don't have accu trigger. Still go that direction? In my opinion, Oh Yeah I'm not hooked on savage or Abolt. You'll like the 22-250 and savage is a good rifle

I bought the savage axis 22-250 for my daughter last year and Its a tack driver. You wont go wrong. I did put an old simmons on it for her but its not a good scope. The older simmons were really good thats whats on my old savage .270. The new simmons are crap. Buy the gun and if you dont like the scope trade up for a better one.
Its not the will to win but the will to prepare to win!

What's the twist of each and what bullets do you want to shoot? That would be the determining factor for me.
Just based on your choices,I would buy the Browning.
On a side note, you might be able to buy a 1:8 twist 223 Tikka Superlight at Sportsmans Warehouse for $650 if they still have any. You will have to call around and ask as they are not listed on their web site. The thing about a gun like that is that you can shoot the heaviest 223's available and still shoot the lighter stuff fine. It gives a lot more versatility to a 223.
