I agree, most people don't weigh deer and aren't worth a damn at guessing a deer's weight. We've weighed every deer that has been killed on our club, since 1997. I belive there has been 6 bucks killed that weighed 200 lbs, the heaviest being 202. According to state studies, and maybe Matt can post the chart, 4.5 year olds weigh on average of 175lbs live weight. In heavy ag area's, or where there's a lot of supplemental feeding, sure the deer can be above average.

I have only put 1 buck on scales and he was 210. The two biggest bodied deer I've killed I didn't get to weight them. One was like a freaking elk, only regret about that deer was not getting to weigh him. Seriously, I bet he weighed 240

In the early years on the Talladega National Forest. I killed an eight point on 2 DEC 79. One of the biggest I've killed, I couln't move him more than 5 steps without stopping to rest. Hid him and rounded up my kinfolk. No documentation, is it still required. He was after a doe, that looked like a fawn ahead of him. Went to Korea in January 80. My younger brother (6 years) Killed one in 80, on a different spot, I hunted. Bigger than my 79 8 by a lot. Big and heavy, both brothers say. On 22 NOV, 2001 I doubled up with my younger brother (2 year). I killed a 145 lb dressed weight 10 point. From the same tree, I had killed a spike (18 NOV 2001) while hunting the 10's scrape line. I knew that spike didn't leave that sign. We (kin) dragged him out. My plan was for all of to hunt my 10. He snuck up to another one of the kin spots. I said were is Chalie. They said Horseblock. He came driving up, I was sitting there with my 10. He said, nice but, l got him beat. I said, Ain't no way, are you serious. He said check him out. I said, "what the hell". He said, "You wanna trade". Heck yea I'll give you my 10 and a spike to boot. His deer weighed 183 lbs dressed. Beautiful 11 point. Piss on QDMA.

I've killed several bucks over 200 lbs. We have weighed every buck we have killed since 1998 on our place, and our average weight on 4+ yr old bucks is 187 lbs. Most will weigh between 180 and 210. This year the three that have been killed were 241, 206, and 154. The 154 was a 4 or 5 yr old. He was just short. Very small mature buck. 200 lb mature bucks are not that uncommon anymore.
I've killed a 215, 212, 212, 210, 208, 206, 204, and 200 looking back through data. And quite a few more hovering just under that in the 190-198 range. All the deer that weighed that much were long and thick framed. You, got way big numbers, I'll excuse you from better memories. How do your spots compared to Black Warrior/Bankhead? Any of your deer come from public land?

You talking 200 ibs field dressed or live weigh? When talking weight in hill country it's usually field dressed. We have to gut them to lighten the load. Lots deer killed up here you can't drive a utv or anything else to .
My biggest was 187 lbs field dressed. A couple in the 170s. And a whole bunch field rested in the 160s. All weighed on scales.
We get one every now and then up here over 200 fd.
