Just applied for my Illinois permit, and I have to say, what a joke their tagging system is.
Anyways, firming up plans for Illinois and Kentucky in late April early May.
Anyone else heading there?

We are looking at another state to add to the list on the way back from out west this year. I've got a ton of family land in Illinois that I've never stepped foot on. I guess that could be an option.

Better check into it quick. 2nd lottery deadline is Monday. Depending on the county, a lot of them will be out of tags after this drawing.

I'm not to worried about IL really, MO is where I'm interested right now. I probably should head up to IL and deer hunt one year so i can scout for turkey season.

I literally just went through the process of applying for the first lottery but got mad at their insane process and just said the heck with it. Plus I don't know for sure that I will be able to go due to baseball.

Yek, I can give you a little info on some public areas in SE Missouri, ozark country. I'd like to try to hit this area again this year myself.

I'm going to Kentucky. I'm going to hunt the same land I deer hunted.
