I will have a dryer coming up for grabs here soon. This is a plain jane Kenmore that is 8+ yrs old. Still dries good, just something is leaving brown streaks on the clothes? Would be a great camp dryer or something that someone might want to fix. Have to wait until my new one gets here around first of February though.
Anyone ned this thing for super cheap pr know a needy family that could use it for free? I am in Chelsea

I done told you to wash your drawers with the brown streaks first THEN put them in the dryer.
If voting made any difference, they wouldn’t let us do it.-Mark Twain

Look in the drum on the dryer...something there is marking the clothes when it gets hot...some Goo-Gone will fix you right up!

Likely needs a new rear felt seal. Parts plus labor likely puts you more than its worth.
I'm willing to take it off your hands. I just rebuilt my 35 year old dryer and put a new rear felt seal on it. I bought it right out of college and it was used then ... and I'm in my 50s. I've grown attached to that dryer and expect another 20 years out of it.
PM me if you'd like. I'm in McCalla. I'm willing to make the repairs in my spare time and give it to someone that needs one. I've got room in the basement to store it for a bit.
