New rubs on my food plot. Going to watch it til dark. Wind is almost right but is brisk. Fixing to have to get out the face boggan as a friend calls it.

Haven't got out of my jeep yet. Pulled in and does are everywhere, I'm just sitting here waiting for them to make their way to the woods. Wish I had a ice cold tall boy lol

I have heard fawns bleating when the mom was bedded up and also when they were button spikes that got kicked out by the mom.

Seen 11 this afternoon. All does and little ones. No sign of any rutting yet. It usually doesn't happen here until the closer to the 20th of the month.

One time I was grunting and I heard a grunt come back. Then I scanned the woods and could see about 100 yards away an orange hat sitting on a stool at the property line on the edge of a field. I would grunt, he would grunt and this went on. He would look all around and I'm guessing he never discovered where the grunt went. Kind of like me taking a friend turkey hunting across the hollar from a farm where they owned turkeys. He thought he was on top of dozens of gobblers.

Had a spike horn and fawn come out at 5:10 PM until dark. Can't wait for the next 2-3 days with the cold weather that's forecast.

I would've messed with him the rest of the afternoon.
