I've piled up mature bucks and still yet to kill a 150". I've seen two that I know were 150" + but didn't get to pull the trigger. One was a 156" 9 point. True giant.
I personally think it is harder to do now. More people are high grading in our area, meaning they're killing the very best out of the two and three yr age classes, resulting in fewer high scoring deer. We are growing plenty of mature bucks, but they are not high scoring, because those deer get killed younger. I've seen plenty of deer that had the potential to be 150+ with another year or two, but they didn't make it.
You know I hate that for you Matt...cause I know you hunt just like me buddy. By the way..You sure you dont have another "meeting" to attend to?
It is friday night buddy! and you are still young!
