We try. Don't hesitate to pm me about them. The reason I don't catch more of them is the peckerheads like to come out late when I'm getting my beauty rest. That last post KW made was at 2:41 a.m. Sheees!!

well dang yall....thanks for your texts those who send them and your support.

I was off here as I had to help a neighbor recover a buck that he lost and was headed towards my land. It was on my land heading to the big swamp...but luckily I found it.

And then get his dang battery powered four wheeler home when It broke down in the middle of nowhere and left my wife and I stranded out there in the woods with them .

Then we had to get the buck out the ole fashioned way...dragging it...so I just passed out when we got home..then had to work all am. We didnt get out of the woods until almost 11 pm.

Nah..Im not letting these 3 post wonders run me off. Im just gonna measure my posts a little more.

Looks like Shaw already took care of it.

Thanks especially Big t. I appreciate that. beers

Id have taken him up on his offer though to be honest, but thanks for stepping up in my absence.

I guess he wanted to dance, he was gonna show me how to "get down". slap

Silly SOB doesnt realize when your my age you lived thru disco...so you already know how to "get down". rofl

By the way..I just wanted to add...that buck in the video and that 170 were both killed on a hunting club that I joined in 2005 from ALDEER, when I first joined this site.

I posted on here looking for a club and they responded in the forum.

It was just $1200 a year, deer and turkeys on 2300 acres . And the turkey hunting was better then the deer hunting. Thats why I tagged out most years...that place was loaded with gobblers. Great club for the price.

I stopped hunting there this summer after the rest was getting mined.

There are some good deer come out of there every year. I hunt in townley. I know of 3 bucks in 5 mile radius of me that were killed this year that go between 150 and 165. There was a huge deer killed last year around thatch that netted 170. That's why I was asking.

IMO a 150" buck, free range, non high fenced, no green fields, completely fair chase, is a huge accomplishment in AL, period. Then & now.

Couldn't agree more with all the guys here. 150+ is a fantastic mature deer anywhere. A deer to be proud of and a great memory for any hunter. I will weep that my father is no longer here to see the day I kill one over 150. I will look at my grandfathers 140" on the wall and tell him I got one up on him too. I'll take a 150, yes sir, I will.

Let's go hunting,
Bryant

I don't know how you couldn't get excited about killing a 150" deer. I hunt on some of the best hunting land in Pickens and Tuscaloosa county and I can tell you they're not behind every tree. I was fortunate enough to kill a 157 8pt a few years ago. The first person I called was my wife as I was flying from the shooting house to the ground. I never touched the ladder! I then called my Dad. My mom answered in the middle of my dry heaving and thought I was having a heart attack! My dad drove 15 miles just to see me get it out of the woods. This all happened while we were on our family hunt. I got to enjoy this with about 15 of my uncles and cousins! I'll never forget it! So to say it isn't what it used to be, maybe for some it isn't. As for me, a 150 is still something rare to behold!

Paramedics be coming to get me out of climber up in tree if I shoot a 150" buck. I'd shoot then go in to cardiac arrest after watching it fall. My best is 135. I know they are there, just haven't seen him when I'm in his neck of the woods....One day.

I came, I saw, so I killed them all......Vern

I shot a 150" 8 point. Shot him at 30 yards as I was walking down one of the roads on our place. I couldn't have told you what he was other than big. Not sure if it's harder or easier though.
