If you could only talk to a biologist to explain what you've seen, and them at least pay attention. They don't have to jump and change things then, but they shouldn't look at you like you have 3 eyeballs, either.

Clubs decide weapon choice public land any weapon. Limit on deer on public land 1 doe 1 buck per person per year. Private lease land shoot what you want unless you are near public land. Within half mile public land 1 buck 1 doe per person a season. Corn people using corn to draw deer off public land. Need a control for that now!
As deer increase in area increase limits public or private decrease as needed.

1 doe and 1 buck per season? I hope you're trying to be funny.

Nope. Take how you want to. Would restrict to certain areas 1 doe 1 buck, public land mostly. Allow more opportunity for others than a select few. Not sure those living off public land would like it, but I am sure people would donate to them anyways from private land if they live off deer.

That's nuts... limit one set of hunters to 1 buck and leased land no limit, really? Never discriminate on the hunter, everyone will lose in the end that way.

Ever had property next to some one that lives off deer. Between that and hunting off public land I can say there should be more evenly distribution of the natural resources to all. Especially when the few don't know self control.

Heck, I hunt in the VERY southern part of AL near the FL/AL line and my bucks just split out of their bachelor groups about two weeks ago. I have seen no chasing going on yet at all! And the season is about to end! I'm sure, I'll see plenty of action as soon as the season ends!

Meanwhile in FL, I'll get a chance to get something with my muzzle loader till the end of Feb!

1 size WILL NOT fix all in this state! Not even a upper and lower alabama season date is going to work for EVERYONE! This state needs to be broken up will at least 6 different hunting dates and NOT 2 .

Wow, talk about controlling everybody else because I don't want to change what I do mentality! Just wow!

Not me. what would be good is if they ran bow from Oct 15- Nov 30 and closed for the month of Dec. open back up Jan 1 and go until Feb 15. That gets us the 10 days back at the beginning of bow season and 5 more at the end of gun. And takes some pressure off of the deer in the slowest part of the year.

Fur.......I understand your plea, and I hope they can do some fetal studies and maybe do what can be done.

Hunter sightings are a piss poor indicator for density and rut activity. Fetal studies are the only solid evidence of what is actually happening. I had a club member tell me the rut hadn't started good yet, all because he hadn't witnessed any chasing. I had seen chasing for several weeks.
