I've got a 93 Kawasaki 300 4x4 fourwheeler that's in good shape but needs some work on the carb. It will crank and idle fine but as soon as you try to throttle up, it backfires and dies. I cleaned and rebuilt the carb and put fresh gas in it but it's still doing it. Thanks

Did you dump all the old gas out of the tank and put new gas in, preferably non-ethanol? And as Eric said the petcock may have crud in it.
Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.

Petcock is the problem more times than not.Sometimes it can be stopped up and sometimes it can be off the mark just as much as a nickle width.Mine was the petcock 2 years ago and figured it out after two carb rebuilds and money wasted.We fixed a buddy's last week with a new petcock.
