This is what I think. There are so many bigger problems than feeding corn to worry about.
How about a real tag system on bucks instead of just an honor system? How about limiting the number of does killed or going to doe days?
Those are 2 common sense things that need addressed instead of feeding corn.

It worked well since we had shorter doe days and limits, the vast majority of hunters chose voluntarily to control themselves in regard to bucks, and no one gave two chits about trying to control other people and how or what they hunted.

Again, seems like folks are missing the point on this subject as well. Never saw anywhere where anyone complained about the LEGISLATURE making game laws. You guys want a bunch of political lawyers making game laws. Its bad enough with the appointees with the CAB. Think that the DCNR was set up (with a biologist at the head) to advise the CAB on good vs bad laws!

Are you saying it was better when we had doe days or it is better now?

Does anyone know when the vote will happen?

Now he's goin' home this time to stay

IF this bill gets through both committees to the House and Senate floors then it MIGHT get voted on if they decide to do so before the Session ends. And then the governor would have to sign it into law, or he could not sign it and let it die on his desk like other bills.

Nothing's a given other than it being a political football.

So you're saying kids learn the value of hunting by crawling up in a heated shooting house watching a food plot? I'm not trying to argue, just trying to understand your thoughts.

Somebody worked to build that shooting house and plant that plot. My teenage son has always helped us in those endeavors and understands that there is work that goes into hunting. I hope he never, ever thinks that pouring out a bag of corn and sitting on it the next day is the way to hunt.

Good grief. I've heard it all now.

I have been told by a very prominent individual associated with the House that there is no way this bill ever see a vote, and he stressed EVER.
