Once again, going off memory. The A5 we know had a rough time. Browning designed it in the late 1800's. Took it to Winchester and they told him his gun was UGLY!! Browning was going to meet with Remington but the guy died or got killed. That's when Browning turned to FN (Fabrique Nationale) in Belgium. Seems like the war (WWI) forced it back to the US for production by Remington. Remingtons were made until after WWII before the first gun with "BROWNING" on it was made.
