I used to hunt a place in Lowndes co. South of Hayneville, AL. We got out of the lease but i went back with a buddy one weekend. We had always had wild dogs out there. Im talking WILD dogs, werent any houses around for miles. One morning my buddy and i went and sat in a stand that overlooked a couple of green field strips. We heard the dogs barking once the sun came up. About 9 am we got down to go check it out. All i had was a bow and my buddy had his rifle. Well we got within about 50 yards of the dogs when they saw us. The pack leader took out after us like a bat out of hell. Took my buddy a few shots to knock him down as i was trying to find the nearest tree to climb being that i didnt have a damn gun. That was some scary chit. Those dogs werent some small dogs either. No telling how long they lived on the property.

We leased some land from a local guy off of 21 somewhere. may have been county rd 2 cant quite remember, it was a long time ago. I loved hunting down there. Some very pretty woods and some really good deer.

Damn, again....
I have personally seen a group of four dogs run down and maul a healthy two year old eight point buck. They would of killed it except two of em died of lead poisoning while in the act. The other two died the next week. None of the dogs were over 50 pounds. Haha. Those mysterious cases of lead poisening usually seem to get the point across. I have 3 pit mixes running some property I own in Walker County. I have them on cameras and have seen them from my climber. I really hope they catch a case of mysterious lead poisening. Kinda waiting to see if they belong to anyone or not first.
