To me a trophy is any deer my boys can give a dirt nap. I get more enjoyment out of being in the woods with them now then anything and seeing the excitement on their faces. This past year I had 4 encounters with a buck before I finally was able to put him on the ground he was a nice 8 point and probably the deer that I am most proud of. I do have a 8 point mounted that was my first bow buck and he is a trophy to me as well not so much because of his rack but because of the getting him at 17 yards with a bow. With all that said if I need meat I'll shoot any doe that I see and I also consider some hunts a trophy even though I didn't pull the trigger. I had several encounters this year with young bucks sparring in front of me and a spike rubbing his head on the ladder stand I was sitting in that was just as exciting as killing the 8pt.

The secret to a long marriage is to keep on dating, just as you did before marriage. We have "date night" once a week.
Hers is Saturday, mine is Thursday.

The only time a married woman gives those is if your not married to them!
