Anybody been to a Mike's Merchandise Store? My wife told me have one in Montgomery, may have been here a while- I don't know. Must only advertise on Facebook( which i don't use). Just asking if it is worth a trip to see what they sell.

The Decatur store isn't organized very well, but there are good deals to be had. Huntsville store isn't as cluttered.
The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...

Huntsville store has a ton of electrical components (conduit and fittings) - I always buy gloves there too. They also have good rope and yard tools. Not too long ago they bought out a bunch of Ace Hardwares in Canada that closed... the Huntsville store has a ton of Ace tools now.

The one In Guntersville use to be pretty good IMO. Ain't been there in quite sometime, but I always swing in when given the chance.

You never know what's gonna be in there. I go to the one in Guntersville from time to time. Some decent deals to be had. A few years ago I bought 3 work benches that have 1" welded steel tubing frames with welded tubing bracing, 4 feet long, 2 feet deep and 5 feet tall and the back is pegboard above the formica work surface. Got them for $25 each.
Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.

If you've got some time to kill and like browsing, I think the average handyman, homeowner, do-it-yourself type person would like a walk thru. As already mentioned, they're not the most organized place to shop. I've gotten some good deals on the following.
- wood & drywall screws (all manner of sizes priced by the pound)
- small plastic bins & screw top containers, (place to put my screws in)
- 12x12x1 air conditioner filters
- miscellaneous new old stock cabinet and chest hinges
