It's pretty simple really. When you have a guy that most voters can vote for in the primary but that a large portion still can't, it's going to be hard for that guy to win if he can't unify those voters in the general election. The polls say he can't and that Cruz and Rubio can. Maybe the polls are wrong but Donald is losing to Hillary in 8 out of 10 polls and Cruz is winning in 8 out of 10. Those are irrelevant because Donald will be the nominee but if you don't think there were candidates that could have unified the party in the general election better than McCain or Romney then I don't know what to tell you.

So what do you think will happen when Hillary brings out every interview Trump has done in the last 5 years where he holds a liberal stance on everything he now says he holds a conservative stance on? There will be tons of them not just a couple because he is always doing interviews and always has, Hillary is going to mop the floor with him...
I hope I am wrong about Trump and that Hillary will beat him badly but I don't think I am there is too much out there on him holding very liberal views....
I also want to say that i hold no ill will to any of you guy's no matter who you will be voting for......well unless you are voting for Hillary or Bernie!!!! Well, according to you his stance on everything is the exact same as Hillary's...so what is she going to do, bash her own stance on the issues? Halb she does not have to justify her stance the people voting for her want what she is selling hell she starts out with about 47% of voters voting for her she really only has to pick up 3-4% to win.....according to all the pundits for what that is wroth..

As a believer I can't vote for someone who is a complete contradiction to my faith. Rubio is part of the establishment I can't stand but I could probably rationalize a vote for him that doesn't compromise my values. I can't say the same for Trump. I understand that makes some people angry but it's just how it is and nothing will change that for voters like myself.

It scares me. We thought that there was no way that Obama would win a second term after the way he spent his first. Me and my wife sat in our living room in disbelief as the results came in back in 2012.

Bill I know where you are coming from and I am with you on this but only because in Alabama it won't matter because the Republican will win this state, but if we were in a toss up state I think I would have to vote for Trump for one reason only... With Hillary we know exactly what she will do while with Trump there is a slim chance that he actually means what he has been saying Lately....

Bill you know general polls don't matter. He is beating her or is within the margin of error in the big swing states. He may not win traditional red states by the usual margins or even win the overall vote but he has a damn good chance in the electoral college.

You know what? I figured out why we got Obozo last time. A bunch of burt hurt sore losers who didnt vote and stay home and cried in their beer instead because "Their guy" didnt win! Wow, thats really mature! Im sure the dems did that too..oh thats right,..they didnt. A lot of you guys should just ignore the primary process as youre to emotionally anchored to "your guy" in the primary..to MATURELY back the MAJORITIES choice in the general. You think the dems act like that?? Were you spoiled as a kid...and given everything you want?? Grow the hell up. Really. Im for Cruz, initially for Carson. But guess what? Ill vote for the guy who WINS through the primary process. Thats the IDEA of the primaries. To find the choice the MAJORITY supports, then to rally behind that WINNER. You guys that act like babies because "your guy" didnt win..ARE the problem and its the non participation that DOOMED us the last 2 times. But you guys are gonna "not participate" this time because you ridiculously put WAAAYY too much EMOTIONAL BS into "YOUR GUY" and wint even Participate if he loses. That is plain and simply ridiculous. I dont care what your stance is on each issue...because guess what..? Many people dont make that single issue THEIR priority. There are a lot of issues, and their priority might be a different one. If you all fracture over each freakin issue, or each canidate..then we are all just screwed. The MAJORITY of the Republican party is currently choosing 1 guy...HANDS down over all the rest. Hes kicking the other guys areses like footballs and he is WINNING EVERYWHERE. Rubio hasnt won a thing...and I dont even think he will pull his own state. My choice Cruz has won Iowa and MAY win Texas, but hes not going to make the cut everywhere else. Trump is winning EVERYWHERE. The midwest, the south and even New England. He is by far out performing all expectations, nay sayers and pundits. I truly think he will beat Hillary just as easily. I dont think the LOSERS of all these other states are going to all of a sudden be WINNERS against Hillary. That literally makes NO SENSE. They are losing within their own party. People are pissed at lying ass RINOS...Im one of them. Maybe it is time to shake things up and change the damn status quo. If Trump is winning this much..it is a movement. If he wins the primaries Ill be voting for him i the general. Thats how our Government works. Anyone who doesnt really is just helping Hillary with their "STATEMENT" of non participation. It is also immature in my opinion, and being a sore loser. We have to get behind whatever candiidate wins..period.

Maybe you're right but it seems you guys love the polls when they are favorable to Donald but you discount them if they aren't. I've always hated the polls because it's usually shown liberals ahead in the presidential elections. It turns out they were right, most times.

the reason oboma won the second election was because folks were still broke and out of work from the bush presidency and Romney got up there and said the exact same thing bush said and it scared alot of folks.

I disagree. He won because most of the people that voted for him don't know a darn thing about him. Most Democrats I know don't keep up with current events and politics. They get their "news" from BET, MTV and gossip. I asked a black lady who by all accounts is a fine Christian lady, if she knew that Obama was a proponent of abortion and same-sex marriage? Her reply was, "He do?" She voted for him twice. She thought "Benghazi" was a nightclub in Birmingham.

can you imagine any of the folks sold on Trump coming here 15 years ago saying Trump would be a serious candidate for president.... then saying as a republican? lmao they would have run your ass out of here and had you committed to a nut shack in a new york minute. Trump makes me think of a white people's obama. I will continue to believe he was a liberal plant to divide and conquer the conservative side. I want illegal immigration stopped as much as anyone but its Donald freaking Trump for crying out loud. looking at the candidates they have rolled out this go around one thing is for certain... we are f'ed! live it up folks America is done. I fear for my children's future. Maybe you should read up on politics from 15 years ago then, Trump was discussed numerous times as a Reform Party candidate, he supported W on most issues and alluded to running as a Republican because Pat Buchanon was the Reform Party leader. Interestingly, Trumps reservations were largely based on the KKK support for the Reform Party. The religious right doesn't like Trump because he won't take a strong stance on banning abortions and he doesn't want to post his religion as a main campaign plank. I think it's been proven that running on religion opens a can of worms for people who aren't as "devout" as some people think you need to be.

I will be voting for Ted today, but if the Donald is the nominee I will vote for him. And something to consider is that most of us respect Ronald Reagan, but he was once a democrat and quite liberal. Then he changed and was one of our greatest Presidents. Trump may have truly changed, but even if he has not, he is still a better choice for President than Hillary. She is opposite almost every single view from me. The crimes she has committed will make me vote for anyone who can keep her out of the Presidency.
I love my country, but don't trust my government.

47% would vote for a dead Osama Bin Laden on the Democracktic ticket as long as he still supported unions, government healthcare, and every other special interest group looking for a handout or pat on the back.
The only way we get a conservative leader and commander in chief back in the oval office is to unify the republican party and get some swing votes.
Trump aint that guy. Sorry. He is more polarizing than Obama.
I didn't vote for him this morning, but if he gets the nod I'll damn sure vote for him in November. A vote for anyone else is a vote for Hillary.
