About 6:55-7:00, they all started flying down and were all over the top of me. They watched me come in, cross the pond dam, and get set up I would have never thought they would roost on the field Going to need to come up with a new plan

I found a gobbler Sunday morning, and couldn't get in front of him. slipped across a clear-cut before first light this morning and set up where he went Sunday. he gobbled twice in the tree where he was supposed to be. once he hit the ground he gobbled once at a woodpecker, I threw out a few clucks and a yelp and sat tight. I could hear him gradually scratching his way to me in the leaves for about 30 min. Then I ran into a problem, I had run out of time and had to GO to work. I was able to slip out and circle back around the knoll I was on without spooking him. Just wish I had more time!!!
