Who's still planning on going Saturday? I'm on the fence. Even if it's not pouring, it's probably going to be real tough. Thoughts?

Me and my boy will be there looking for his first bird. He's seen some die and is ready to be the gun man this year (7 years old). Just picked up some 3" .410 hevi shot for him at Mark's- they ordered it for me.

It would be hard to stay out of the woods unless the weather is real bad. Good luck to y'all. I'll be out listening in chambers again

If it is raining I would make sure I was there when it slacked up. That can be prime time

Just looked at ABC33/40 james say's the models are trending drier for Tomorrow and Saturday with the better chance being Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Looks like a go to me!!

It would have to be lightning for me to stay away, even with downpours unless they were 100% downpours from daylight to dark. Go, get wet, laugh, have fun, take some dry clothes to change into.

#1 - if you don't watch James Spann's weather discussions twice a day - then start.

#2 - forget every other weather site you've ever watched.

If that plan had been in place - you would have already known that no severe weather was ever in the mix for AL. Only a minor chance of flooding even when folks were talking about that 3 days ago. And that models are trending drier for Saturday, with a better chance Sat night into Sunday.

You should get a timeout for comparing turkey hunting to golf!

will be kind of breezy opening morning but the kids should get to hunt in most spots. I should have a few roosted by Friday afternoon so my lil bro and I can let his new berretta bark sat morning. My moms been telling me he's been walking around in full camo after school with facemask and vest on annoying her with his turkey calls since last week. I think he's pretty excited

They've just changed the forecast down here in southwest Alabama - calling for rain Fri, Sat, and Sunday (till 9AM). It's been changing all the time. I will say that band of rain over in MS looks awful right now, and it is flooding in Louisiana. Hope it misses us.

I live in SW Bama. I did live around Bham, and that's why I follow Spann. I've kept following him because during his weather discussions, you get more info about most places in the Southeast than any other weatherman from low grade local news, or any other website.

I'll stick with my first post - watch those discussions and completely ignore everything else.
