God's standard is way higher than ours so when He said no other gods before me, he meant not just idols, but anything we allow to take importance over Him in our lives whether that be family, work, money, etc. I don't know anyone who can make it past number 1 since we all at some point have put something ahead of God. The law was given to show us that we all are in fact sinners and do need a savior, Jesus Christ. So yes, OT law is guidelines for how Gdo wants us to live. NT is where the juice is. Thats where grace is for when we fall short of the law.

It means rooted in Christ. Something that was personal to me. Drew the picture when I was in Africa, got it tattooed half a year after I got back. It took about 6 hours I think, I don't really remember. It wasn't a massage, but most of it didn't hurt too bad. You could definitely tell when he was going over ribs though.

yes context is king, in 2016 in the US of A , tattooing is still a pagan act and one we are told not to be a part of.
