Almost closed the deal this am. Bird came to within 100 yards but wouldn't come any closer. I had a solo bird at 60 yards yesterday at 11am. Joker wouldn't come out of the broomsage into the wind row. I was going to pick up a cam, and left my decoys( had call in my pocket) in the truck. In the process of taken my cam down, the dude gobbled twice 80 yards behind lol....
Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

Well the weather forecast isn't looking real good for this weekend. But I am heading down to the hunting club tonight anyway, and hope for the best on Saturday morning.

Plan on hunting Monday am. Then I will go to work on Tuesday until lunch then I will be heading down to Dallas County to hunt a few days. The following week I am taking off to go hunt Georgia.

Been everyday except this morning. Only heard good gobbling on Tuesday. Rest of days has been no gobbling to 2 times.
