With respect to those on here that practice law.

Another area I would start working toward would be some sort of "Tort Reform". There should be a reasonable compromise toward compensating a person for harm and protecting the ability of a company or entity to produce a product with reasonable liability. I think that this would help return some manufacturing back to this country. Probably would help lower the cost of some medical services.
Again a return of "Responsibility" to the people to look out for themselves with the protection against maleficence from others.

This leads me to speculate about what priorities most of these political philosophers would promote if given the opportunity.

So, if you were given the chance to be the President of the United States for one term, what would you do to affect the outcome of this country ?

What would be your main priority to work toward changing ?
1. Setting the tone and vision that this is a constitutional federal republic.
2. Undo much of the burdensome federal regulations that are redundant or just illegal and nonsensical.
3. Overhaul the tax code to bring back capital currently invested overseas because of our horrid corporate tax structure.
4. Try to end the Progressive Movement roots running deep withing Washington.

What part of the Constitution would you work to change or enforce more ?
1. Call for a constitutional convention to rewrite the 14th Am to end anchor babies. Only if you are here legally does your child automatically become a US citizen at birth.
2. Introduce Constitutional Amendment to allow gun ownership and CC across all states and territories as the 2nd Amendment intended.
3. Constitutional Amendment that marriage is between men and women only. Allow civil unions so same sex partners can have rights to make medical decisions, insurance, etc...but not marriage. That word and meaning is reserved already.
4. Sanctity of Life Constitutional Amendment that outlawed all abortions except when medically necessary to save the life of the mother.
5. Congressional Term Limits: Rep 5 two year terms; Senate 2 six year terms.

What economic policies would you pursue to bring about a positive change and stop the deficit that is being accumulated ?
1. Flat Tax or Fair Tax Plan
2. End the IRS as we know it now. Taxes should be simple for everyone to do.
3. End the burdensome capital gains, death taxes, etc... forever. Create an tax environment where corporations bring their cash now kept overseas back to the USA.
4. Quit being a trade sucker with China and the Far East. Do what is needed to restore manufacturing here in the USA.
5. End the EPA and USDA as we know it with the over regulation on coal, steel, and farming industries. Put in place good common sense plans to promote clean air, dirt and water that don't kill these industries.
6. Let Alabama and other coastal states decide how many red snapper is in a limit and for how long in their areas.

How would you handle immigration ?
1. Try actually enforcing the current laws on the books.
2. After 2 years, then adjust.
3. Build a physical wall that is an actual barrier on the southern border.
4. Slow down visas to everyone until we get a handle on those who have overstayed.
5. If you come here, you have to be able to make an impact for the good, not drain resources only.

How would you handle education from a Federal standpoint?
1. Abolish the Fed Dept of Education to the point where there are only about 120 employees. 1 rep and 1 assistant per state, plus some other staff.
2. Education decisions belong to a state level and community level.
3. End Common Core.
4. Federal monies go out in bock grants without strings.
5. Ok to set a standard of what classes should be taken to graduate at a minimal level (Math, Science, English, History, etc...), but let states implement their own plans and curriculum. If Alabama wants to get ahead, then they can figure out a way.

Prisons
1. You go to jail as a non-violent offender, then you work your butt off on a road crew, ditch crew, grass crew, litter crew, garbage crew, busting rocks crew, painting/cleanup crew, etc... Hard labor cuts your time.
2. Drug possession crimes...not off scott free, but they have to work too to cut their tie way down or trade work for jail time.
3. Use prisoners to build the wall for all I care.
4. You molest/rape/abduct/torture/kill a child with DNA or indisputable proof, you are fast tracked to death row.

I'm a very big advocate of all these ideas.

Why can't we get the current crop of presidential contenders to tackle these questions and provided some answers?
