never done it before was thinking about doing it this year from April-July I hunt on 600 acres of timber company land and was thinking about having 3 stations and mixing corn, record rack, and the cheap protein pellets from academy in each feeder. also i have 1 trough feeder and 2 moultrie feeders that i ordered dinner plates for. i also plan to establish a mineral site next to each feeder. just wondering if anyone has any advice when it comes to supplemental feeding.

did it for years using soy bean and corn mix. Much better products out there I was just keeping the overhead down. I had six feeders on 200 acres and keep them going February through the first of October when I planted. I feel it kept more deer on the property as sightings increased significantly and body weights went up about 20pds the first year. Feeding and letting the little bucks walk we started taking 130 class deer in lower Alabama within 3-4 years. Then we lost the property. Classic story.

You can also check with JEB Feed on 31 north of Prattville about 1/2 mile before the interstate. And Greenville Co-op

That was an interesting study in the video. What I gathered from it was that supplemental feeding would indeed make a difference but it sounds like you really need a decent size piece of land and a lot of disposable income. The real gains from supplemental feeding in the study weren't seen until the second generation. That means that you need to feed for a number of years before you really start seeing a difference. It didn't really look like to me that going out for one or two summers and feeding would really impact things enough to justify the cost.
