My wife points these things out to me. I used to like eating out. Not as much now.

Have you ever witnessed?

A waitress wiping the seats and then using the same towel to wipe the table? It happens more than you would think.

The bus boy in a Mexican place putting the chips back in with the fresh ones. I just about had a come apart with the manager about this one at Mi Casita's in Guntersville. I don't know if it's still there or not.

Servers wiping a runny nose, handling money, or bathroom breaks without a hand washing?

I'll stop right there.

The two nastiest things I've witnessed.

Hardees in Huntsville off of Wall Triana.

Employee was moping floor as I pulled up to the pay window. She was ringing the water out of the mop with her hands and saw me. She proceeded to wipe her hands on her ass, grab a cup and run it through the box of ice. I drove off sick

Wendy's in Huntsville off of Wall Triana.

As I pulled up to the window, the cashier was snapping the lid on my drink. He then proceeded to suck the coke off the top of the lid that came through the straw hole. We exchanged words and I drove off. sick

They are just helping you strengthen your immune system!

You probably use the sanitizing wipes on your buggy at Wal-Mart don't you?

I'd stay away from Wall Triana anyway.

I was going through the order line at Ryan's in Boaz several years ago and asked for sweet tea. The elder lady serving drinks didn't know which canister was the sweet vs. unsweet, so she lifted the lid on one, stuck her finger in and tasted her finger. Then she repeated it with the other canister. We ate elsewhere.

Mine too and she suggests that I do the same. I think it's a disease

How about the bathroom cleaning guy wearing gloves to wipe up chit and the floor around the toilet ... the same dang gloves he uses to mess with the faucet handles, paper towel dispenser and exit door.

Sweet dreams!

If you ever went into the kitchen of just about any restaurant you would probably never eat there again.

Did a repair job at a Hardee's in Montgomery. When we chiseled up the Quarry tile there was maggots in the grout joints. I threw up.

Another one. The food court at Eastdale mall. Remodeling an existing store and during demolition the roaches were so bad we had to stop work so an exterminator could kill them all.

Before eating at any establishment ask to see their health department rating if it's not posted in clear view. I like to eat at places I know are good to go or places I can see them prep the food.

Some things I just don't want to know. Germs are good, fecal matter, not so good.

Worst for me was at a hospital in the NorthEast. Black fly season and lady we were working with had been biten numerous times on her arm and there some small scabs present. Scratched off and then directly to the mouth.....
Thought I was going to puke. She then invited us to her house for dinner and I insisted we go to the bowling alley, as to not be a burden on her.....burned in the brain and can not clear it.

haleyville al,
My mom had a restaurant. I have a ton of them but they all end with someone hunting a new job.

Had a waitress that brought the drinks to the table. One of the guys told her the tea wasn't sweet. She goes and gets him another glass from the same pitcher. He again said mam my tea isn't sweet. She gets a attitude grabs his glass and takes a drink. Slams it down and tells him. Taste pretty d*** good to me. She didn't make two steps before it was made clear where she needed to go.

This is why it is very important to pray over your food. Be thankful for it, and ask God to bless it.

Wife and I were eating in El Giro in mobile a few years ago. I tasted something a little off in the salsa but kept eating it. I poured some out in the bowl and something white and round came out and I thought it was an onion that wasn't chopped enough and poked it with a chip. It started coming unrolled so I picked it up with my fingers and it was a napkin with gum rolled up inside it. It was nasty and they were obviously reusing salsa from the tables. I caused a scene but most of them couldn't speak English anyway but I have never been back. Pretty much ruined me on mexican food.
