Prayers sent...is your other half with you or on the water? On the water. I spoke to her last night, and spoke with one of the doctors, there. The fever was down, pain was manageable and being managed, and she seemed in fairly good spirits, all things considered. She's to see a urologist today to discuss options for getting shed of the stone, which is a fairly large one, currently leaning towards lithotripsy. All in all, we came to the decision that I would stay here, for right now, and she'll let me know if anything changes. I have a computer and 3 phones on my desk, and I'm the guy who fills out the flight lists, so even when someone else needs their guy to come home from here, I'm the one to call. Also, want to be sure to say this: Yesterday/last night, when she'd initially gone to the hospital, she was pretty overwhelmed and upset when the situation escalated from "this hurts, I think I might have a kidney stone" to "...septic stone, we're going to admit you and transfer you to Dothan..." One of the things that helped calm her down was the response and support she got in this thread, and knowing that pretty much no matter where she got sent to, there was someone she could count on if she needed to. ...that's just one of those things that makes this such a great place! Thanks, all!

Dr. I spoke to last night said that 5mm is usually the "cutoff" where they move from thinking 'pass it' to 'crush it'. This one is right around 5 or 5+mm, but she had to have a slightly smaller one crushed years ago. They're going to scope her this afternoon, then proceed from there. Doctor says she might discharge this evening, recovery guy says probably tomorrow.

Probably for the best though I reckon. Sure don't blame her for getting stir crazy and wanting out of the hospital. God speed Huntress! Hang in there - we got you covered in prayer.

She had (3) 6mm stones drop at the same time and lodged. WOW...I couldn't imagine...! 'Huntress just emailed me and said the IV was out, discharge papers in hand, and her ride is on the way.
