I'm sure there's a good reason why, but why aren't we going there instead of Mars? [/quote] Saturn is a ball of gas. Probably jbc gas

What is the moon of Saturn, Titan. Wasn't until around 2004 when we sent a Saturn fly by to investigate the atmosphere. It wasn't until then that we discovered that the majority of the atmosphere was made from hydrocarbon, as in methane. There are several other ways methane came be made. If like most Methane made we find here on Earth. If it is made, like we find it here, it was made from organic material. Try reading this: http://www.usnews.com/opinion/blogs/on-energy/2011/09/14/abiotic-oil-a-theory-worth-exploring I'm sure there's a good reason why, but why aren't we going there instead of Mars? Just one major reason to continue to explore space.

I gave him a 1 day time-out. he is clearly just trying to start arguments. He has to be one of the most negative, antagonistic asshats I've ever seen on here. Every damn post is something condescending.

I know I'd love to still be working on all the space station stuff. Work was booming and alot more interesting. If we get rid of Democrats in the White House and Senate it will come back.

After over twelve years on Aldeer, he was the first person I used the ignore button on. After less than a week I'd had enough of his post.

JBC, I get what your saying. I see more benefits from the "byproduct" of going to and from the moon and mars than I do from actually collecting moon dust and mars rocks(if there is such a thing). For instance, my oncology unit did a pilot study for NASA several years. The space station needed a UV light for growing plants that would not put off heat. I mean "0" degrees of heat. They did. Well, the guy working the plants had either a small cut or rash on his hand that healed faster than usual. So, this led to our unit getting the grant to pilot the study of the same light.. We tested to see if it helped in the healing of mucositis in our patients after they receive chemo and/or radiation. Our study proved that it did. Now the use of "LED light therapy" is becoming a common practice for would healing.

There's a lot more to it than having a differing opinion. Y'all should know that by reading the other threads in here.
The true mark of a man is not how he conducts himself during times of prosperity, but how he conducts himself during times of adversity.

WTF you think we were doing up there to begin with? We were searching for things that can make us wealthy, healthy, and powerful. If they landed and found a pure gold core how do you think things would be now? They did find Helium(3) which can power a Nuclear Fusion reactor and provide power for 8 billion lives. Of course that is obviously money wasted to you. Idiot. So you swear and call him an idiot and he is the antagonist. Sounds like you need a time out.

The space program is good. But I believe it is time that it was taken over by private enterprise. I couldn't agree more.
