Yes one highlight was when he got chosen for the honor flight. He went to several marine Corp functions throughout his life after retiring.
It isn't necessary to see a good tackle...you can hear it.

He's just a tough old marine. I've been talking to him telling him it's ok and stuff. I don't know if he can hear me or not but I keep telling him my granny who has been gone now about 20yrs is gonna be pissed when he shows up late lol. First thing I said to him was wait til you get.my age. That was our little saying to each other he'd always laugh and say oh hell I hope not you look rough. Lol never a dull moment for sure when he was around.

I lost my grandad in march and it's the hardest thing I ever been through. Brings tears to my eyes now just thinking about it. I'll pray for you buddyou as well as him. I lost two last year. I agree, its tough.
