Just came across some Barnes 130 grain all Copper loads that look like serious deer and piggy medicine!!! That's what I am shooting. 3050 fps out of a Sako Finnlight. I have only killed 3 with it but I really like it so far. If you need any help on working out a load, I would be more than glad to share with you what I have learned about getting them to shoot good. It took some trial and error but my gun will shoot em to about a 1/2 MOA now when I do my part.

Federal Fusion 165gr. My savage .308 shoots them extremely well and they've performed fantastically on every deer I've shot with them.
Oh, and they're inexpensive...$20-25/box.

I like N150 with the 150's myself which can get you over 2900 as well.
Varget is just less temperature sensitive to me, but I also will shoot RL-15.. either with 165's is my favorite deer loading.

My 308 really likes 165gr Barnes TSX pushed by 44.2 grains of Varget through a 20" barrel. Going to roll some 130gr Barnes TSX and try them soon. This is the results of the above load. Here's the accuracy at 100 yards. Here's the entrance on 150 LB deer, he was turned dropping down into a ditch. Hole behind the last rib. Here's the exit location. They seem to work pretty good at 75 yards.

Please share powder, powder charge, brass used Lapua brass, 48 grains of Ramshot TAC, and I settled at .100" off the lands. Shot great at 48.5 grains at .080" off the lands too though.

Pay attention to how many like the 165's and 168's...they and the .308 were literally made for each other, and if you do your part, they'll outperform any other .308 combination. Period.

I have a Savage weather warrior .308 that wouldn't shoot 150 gr nosler partitions worth a crap but I found a box of Federal 165 gr accubonds that will touch bullet holes at 100 yards. Depends on what the gun likes I guess. I'm going to try some other 165 gr loads also.
