My daughter goes to AU so she is up on all the student housing. She has lived and will be living again at The Connection. Nice, safe, gated complex that will match you up with a room mate if they anyone there needs one. Another nice thing too is that the room mates sign individual leases so if your roomie flunks out or quits, you are not stuck paying for the whole apartment yourself. It is on the safe side of Long leaf Drive. Avoid the other end of Long leaf. They built so many complexes out there, they couldn't rent them all and resorted to section 8 housing. That is where all the football players got shot.
Paging Ocidicilus (sp?). He'd be a member to really help you.
Nothing wrong with renting a trailer on Wire Rd. either. Ridgewood is the big trailer park to check into.
Kind of late in the game for that area, so good luck.
