In my opinion that is a STRIPER...If not, you threw away a record...I would have had it checked.....The STATE record for a HYBRID STRIPED BASS is just shy of 26 POUNDS..Look it up. http://www.outdooralabama.com/state-record-freshwater-fish Biggest Hybrid I ever caught was around 13 pounds...But the state record Hybrid was caught in the SIPSEY FORK. Most all stripes I caught were on LOGAN or LAY....Biggest STRIPER on LAY was 48 pounds. We caught them at night on a crank bait in spring fed creeks in June/July and August.
