Part of it may be that your situation doesn't seem as bad. Honestly I think this is why shows like "My 600 lb life" do so well.

Because they are better than listening to songs about Dixie cups drinking beer tearing up dirt roads and jacked up trucks

Can't argue with that.

There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:

2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement
3. Taxation Is Theft

Can't remember the name of it but it's the song that comes out at Christmas about a little boy trying to buy his dying mom some shoes. The clerk accepts the little change he had. Dang I have to stop talking about it now..........

Google Dwight Yoakum "the back of my hand". That one about killed me one time after a breakup. He's got a bunch of good sad songs. If you ever want to absolutely waller in sadness and self pity, I would highly recommend Dwight Yoakum.

Over a page in, and no one has mentioned "Whiskey Lullaby" by Paisley and Krauss?

Or..."If You're Reading This" by Tim McGraw?

And yes...agree on "Crying for Me" by Toby Keith...especially knowing the background of the song and the friendship it's based on.

Have you tried Google?

It's not country but one of the saddest songs I've ever heard is " fix you " by Coldplay.
And no I'm not gay!
Go ahead and listen to it when you are by your self so the family won't see that soft side. I dare you to. Then you'll agree with me.
