I don't know why I love sad country songs but I sure do. I have gotten on a Dwight Yoakum kick one listened to them real sad ones over and over. I've had people threaten to open the door and jump out if I didn't cut that crap off. Some folks just don't understand.

Merle Haggard-Lookin for a place to fall apart is the saddest song I have ever heard in any genre.

Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life;of whom shall I be afraid?

Whiskey lullaby was my first song that came to mind for me.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Sound of a train not running- Chris Knight

Ain't always thirsty- Ray Scott

Goodbye time- I kind of like Glenn Tempelton's version. He's an Alabama boy too.

Whiskey and you- Chris Stapleton

I called up hell- Trent Tomlinson

Grandpa- Justin Moore ( I guess it's just sad for me because my granddaddy was the one who taught me to hunt and fish. He spent a lot of time with me.)

Tammy Wynette sang D-I-V-O-R-C-E, Written by Curly Putman from PRV.

Curly also wrote He Stopped Loving Her Today and Green Green Grass of Home, that's a sad one that hasn't been mentioned, BTW.
