Got the #; if that is a 6" barrel it will be 1980-81. Went to 629-1 in 1982. Niece piece

Got the #; if that is a 6" barrel it will be 1980-81. Went to 629-1 in 1982 Cool Thanks..That's around the same year as the smith (Belive it's a 82) below. It's in great shape and locks up tight..
Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

My S&W 357 has a 6" barrel. I think it's a model A-19 or something like that. I bought it in 83. Mine is blued though. Hell of a double action gun though. My sights are different than the one above though.

My sights are different than the one above though. The 66 is basically a 19, the 66 model is the stainless version. My step-dad has one just like yours, and I believe the sights on his are also different..
